Hometown Games

Well, last weekend was a very eventful weekend for Wausau Metro Adult Special Olympics. We began the weekend on Saturday, May 12, 2012 with Hometown Games in Merrill, WI. These games were known as District Track Meet a few years ago.

Wausau Metro Adult took approximately 30 athletes to this competition and 19 of them will go on the State Tournament in Stevens Point, WI from June 7 - June 9, 2012. These athletes competed in all areas of track & field events from softball throw, shotput, turbo jav, standing long jump, running long jump, and distance running and walking events.

Here are some pictures from the day full of experiences and memories.
